A 1/6th plate ambrotype of a seated Confederate officer with kepi. The image is bright and well focused. The seated officer looks to be a
1st. Lieutenant with his hand on the table around his kepi. His double breasted jacket has two bars visible on the collar and trefoil on both
sleeves. On one side, the bars are gilted but not on the other. The buttons are gilted but on the the lower right buttons you can see a tall
standing figure, probably indicating that they are Virginia state buttons. The image comes in a near perfect thermoplastic case. There is no
