A bit of a mystery to solve. 4 I.D.'d 1/6 plate clear ambrotypes of family members from Ohio. Orris Scovil (Scovell), Emily Mason Scovil (Scovell), Dayon Mason, and Emily Mason. I can find them all in the 1860 and 1870 census. The question is: Who is the 1/6 plate tintype armed private standing at attention with a canvas backdrop? The only one with a case (half case) is the image of Emily Mason. The others have mats and keepers, but no case. They all have the same white cardboard backing (even the soldier). They all came together and I'm selling as a group. Unfortunately, the only one not identified is the soldier. #5071=$425.00
