Standing at a chair in studio with a mountain and forest backdrop. This is Thomas B. Speece lived in Lawrence, IN (NW side of Indianapolis) in 1860. He enlisted in the 52nd IN Co. K on 2/1/1862. The 52nd fought at Ft. Donelson, Corinth, Tupelo and Nashville just to mention a few. He re-enlisted on 2/27/1864 and was mustered out on 9/10/1865 at Montgomery, AL. In this 1/6 tintype he stands wearing tinted blue pants and a shell jacket with a veteran stripe on his sleeves. The image comes in a 1/2 leatherette case.
