There were a number of Robert McCulloch's serving as officers in the CSA. This one would benefit from
some solid research. This oval CDV is backmarked from Mobile, Alabama. There is some pencil inscription
at the top of the reverse that I can't quite make out. Records indicate that there were cousins from
Missouri, both named Robert McCulloch who served in Forrest's 1st Missouri Cavalry. I've attached a copy
of a letter written by Senator GG Vest in 1901 sending a copy of the War Records to Col. McCulloch
