A 1/9th plate ambrotype of an armed, unidentified Confederate soldier. The soldier looks very young probably in his
teens. He is wearing an eight button, dark gray jacket with shoulder epaulettes and matching pants. The buttons are all
gilted and no device can be seen. The soldier is holding a musket that is so long it extends from one corner of the
image to out of the opposite corner. The musket may be an 1817 percussion musket. Pinned to the pillow of the case is a intricately
carved piece of ivory or bone. The image was found in North Carolina. The image is housed in a full gutta case. #CA1049=$450.00
