These two 1/6 plate tintypes come in a double case. The case is wood and paper and has the original binding, although
that is a bit fragile. The Soldier stands with his hand in a chest salute. The backdrop is the canton of a large American
flag. He wears a shell jacket and a forage cap. The jacket's buttons and the hat's buckle have been gilded. The younger
man/boy could be his little brother or son. He stands at a table wearing civilian clothes. There is no identification to this
image. Both images are a bit darker than I would prefer as can be seen in the scan. There is a lateral bend in the soldier image
