This 1/6 plate tintype comes in a full case that has been repaired at the spine, but is in otherwise very nice condition. This
soldier is a bit of a mystery to me. He wears an 8 button shell jacket that is thought to be more common among Confederate troops, but
also existed with Wisconsin soldier I'm told. His jacket has dark trim on the cuffs, shoulder tabs and a dark collar. His kepi has a
stylishly upturned visor. There appears to be something written (maybe initials) on the underside of the visor. Initially I thought the
marks under the visor was a flaw in the image, but the image is stable with no flaking. No device can be seen on the buttons. He's also
missing a cuff button and has a far off stare. A Confederate? #1818=$550.00
