This perfectly focused 1/6 plate tintype features an infantry sergeant wearing an 8 button shell jacket with shoulder tabs and
an angled pocket similar to early New York State issued jackets. He sports his sergeant stripes and wears white gloves. He holds
his Model 1861 U.S. percussion rifle-musket in .58 caliber. This is identifiable via the ramrod, the front nose cap and the top
barrel band on the rifle. His regulation bayonet is in it's scabbard on his hip. He has a waist belt with a U.S. belt plate and
a cap box. There is a flaw/scratch on his right elbow that is visible in the scan. The image comes in a full wood and paper case
that is in excellent condition and retains its original binding. #11090=$800.00
