Brass letters on the crown of what appears to be a forage cap on this soldier's knee indicates that
he served with the 136th Infantry. This is a very small fraternity as very few States had that many
regiments. This soldier is either from NY, OH, IN, IL or PA. The backdrop would certainly be a clue
if anyone could I.D. the location of that photographer. There is no identification associated with this
image. The focus is a bit soft. The 1/6 plate tintype come is a wood and paper full case that still has
it's original binding. Also, the case has Liberty with the American flag on the outside cover. #10610=$260.00
